LOCAL FRESH BREAD

Amelia's Bakehouse is an award winning, local bakery. I operate from my home in Fetcham, baking beautiful, artisan bread for collection or delivery. All my bread is made using organic stone ground flour, the best local produce and love to feed the body as well as the soul!

I bake every Friday and all orders can be placed here. I aim to have all bread baked by lunch time and delivered by early afternoon. Orders for collection will receive an email to let you know that your bread is ready to collect. For any queries please don't hesitate to contact me on eat@ameliasbakehouse.co.uk.

ABOUT

I believe that there are so many simple pleasures in life that we sometimes take for granted, like the smell of freshly brewed coffee, the pages of a brand new book and the taste and smell of freshly baked bread.

Bread is a staple of our diet, prepared in many different ways for thousands of years. It is one food that unites most cultures.  So why then have we come to accept the forms of bread that we know today? Seemingly wonderful, loaves that last for days and days but are in fact full of additives, preservatives and enzymes. I think bread gets a bad reputation with many of us thinking that it isn't good for us or that we are gluten intolerant when in fact all we need to do is go back to basics. At it's heart bread should only consist of four main ingredients; flour, water, salt and yeast. It is my mission to bring you beautiful home made bread that’s better for you, better for our community and better for the planet. Using organic and locally produced ingredients, my loaves are available within hours of leaving the oven so that you can enjoy them at their best.

So let there be bread!

“Good bread is the most fundamentally satisfying of all foods; and good bread with fresh butter, the greatest of feasts.”
